What it is
Minho Defenders is a tower defense game by itch.io creator Guybota, set in 1368 in Alto Minho in northern Portugal. You hold a castle on the Minho river against a Castilian fleet coming up the water, in a cartoon style. The creator says the whole game, HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a single file, was written with Anthropic's Claude through Claude Code and claude.ai, directed and play-tested by the creator. Claude also produced the canvas and SVG art, the procedural sound and the text, and the creator says no image or audio generation models were used. The game is in English and European Portuguese, and you can team up online with a friend using a room code.
Who it's for: Players who enjoy tower defense with a medieval history setting.
Before you start: It runs in the browser, and the creator says it works on phones in portrait mode, tablets and desktops. Progress saves automatically. Online co-op connects through PeerJS room codes. It's free to play. No official age rating is given.
