Mansion of Secrets is a multiplayer horror board game by HD Expanse that runs in the browser. The story starts at a weekend reunion. The hostess, Madeline Blackwood, holds a scandal over every guest and plans to blackmail them. The guests kill her in a panic and dump her body in the basement, and she comes back as a vengeful ghost. One player is Madeline, the hunter, and everyone else is a guest with something to hide. Guests roll two dice to move through a three-floor mansion and search rooms for Evidence and Action cards. Each turn you can play one Action card, such as barricading a door, looking at another player's hand, vetoing a rival or dodging Madeline's attack. Escaping isn't the same as winning: you score by leaving with your own evidence, and evidence you hold on others costs them points, so you have to avoid the ghost, hunt for evidence and trip up whoever is ahead, all at once. Madeline kills a guest by moving onto their tile, and when she rolls doubles she can skip moving to draw a Curse card. Seven characters each have one skill, and a session takes about 20 to 40 minutes. If you're short on players you can add AI players right away, so you can play solo or with friends. The developer's credits say the images and UI assets were generated with help from tools such as Google Gemini, then reviewed, edited and curated by the developer.
Who it's for: Players who enjoy scheming deduction and board games and don't mind horror, ideally with a group of friends.
Before you start: It runs in the browser. The page has a login and registration option, and the terms say you must be at least 13 to create an account; AI Inspiration World hasn't checked whether you can start a game without logging in. A warning at the start says there are occasional bloody scenes, which you can turn off in Settings → Bloody Scenes. The page is in English and doesn't say whether other languages or phones are supported. The cookie policy says third-party cookies are used for advertising and analytics, and you can reject non-essential cookies in the preference settings. The game is in beta: checkout currently uses a test card and charges no real money. Paid memberships, in-game currency and cosmetics are planned, purchases made during the beta will be reset at launch, and you should check the game page for prices and terms.
