What it is
Kirishima News Club is a newspaper club sim by aQuQa, Night_Cat(>w<) and SnowWindSaveYou, and it won Best Web Game at the 4th Player2 AI NPC Jam. You investigate around campus, gather material and write up stories, and the characters and the wider world shift with what you dig up. The game page says "Enhanced by state-of-the-art LLM, characters will sense, think and remember, so will the world," without naming a model. The story mixes supernatural investigation with campus conflict.
Who it's for: Fans of visual novels and investigation games who want NPCs that remember.
Before you start: It plays in the browser, but the itch.io version asks for your own API key; the authors also link a key-free version on Player2 that requires a Player2 account. A page that loads doesn't mean model use is free. Your dialogue and game state are processed by a model, and the page doesn't say where that data goes or how long it's kept. The game is still in development and will change. No public source code or license.
Based on the authors' itch.io page and Player2's official winners announcement. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
