What it is
Jointter is a daily word puzzle in the browser by Hacker News user proy87. Each puzzle shows three rows of dots with some lines between them, spelling out a hidden English word. You build guesses from letter tiles; lines that belong to the target word stay green and the rest turn red. You get five tries, and a hint costs one of them. Dragging the dots only tidies the picture and doesn't count as a guess. Puzzles get harder from Monday to Sunday. The clue is a drawing: after each guess you read how the lines change color and work your way to the word. The author says the front end was built with the help of AI, while the Python algorithm behind the puzzles is his own.
Who it's for: People who like a word puzzle a day.
Before you start: It plays in the browser; the author says it's free and needs no sign-up. Puzzles use English words and the page is in English. The page shows touch input hints, but full phone support isn't described, and it doesn't say whether results are recorded online. The site doesn't state a license for its code or images.
