What it is
HALDANE-4 is a short horror story in which you descend alone beneath an Antarctic ice shelf to explore what lies below. It won Cursor's Most Original award at Vibe Jam. Everything is drawn in ASCII art, and the opening uses terminal-style text to explain how to move forward, turn and use your light. It was made for Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules require at least 90% of the code to be written by AI, and the jam page lists Cursor as a tool used.
Who it's for: Players who are fine with horror and enjoy stories told through ASCII art.
Before you start: Under Vibe Jam's rules it's free to play in the browser with no sign-up, using keyboard and mouse. The opening recommends headphones. The instructions are in English, and the jam page lists mobile support. This is a horror game. The pages don't give an age rating.
