What it is
Ghost Shift is a piece of interactive fiction from the AI game studio Focaccai, read page by page in the browser. Mara Torres, a contract cataloguer, is working late in a museum basement going through a collection of bronzes, and you make choices at key moments that lead to different endings. It runs 17 pages including the endings, and the author estimates 10 to 20 minutes. The author lists the AI behind each part: Claude Sonnet 4.6 for the story outline and prose, Nano Banana 2 for the cover, gpt-image-1.5 for the page art and Suno v4.5 for the music. The author says people and AI went back and forth on it for more than ten rounds. The author calls it the studio's third experiment in AI storytelling.
