What it is
Endless Duel is a turn-based boss battle game by Jyuukun with an ink-wash, Japanese-style look. You can play it right on its own site, and it's also on itch.io. Each chapter pits you against one boss: you time your parries and choose your strikes, and if you lose, you go back to chapter one. The game mixes turn-based combat with real-time parrying, so the timing is all on you. Each fight awards a card based on your score, and a perfect win earns the rarest card, which lets you skip chapters. In a devlog, the author says the game was developed with Claude Code and Codex, the illustrations were made with ChatGPT Images, and some sounds come from ElevenLabs.
Who it's for: Players who like Japanese-style art and enjoy practising reactions and timing.
Before you start: The author says the game is completely free and needs no account to play. To save your cards, you sign in with Google, Discord or Twitch. The author says it supports phones and touch screens. The game is mostly in English, with decorative Japanese in titles and chapter names. The author gives no open license.
