What it is

Cattleship is a turn-based browser deduction game by M Dawg (itch.io account mdawg74). Each farm hides three herds of cattle, and you click squares on your rival's farm to toss feed and find them. Every three turns the herds move, and the feed buckets you drop become fences. Each round you can also use a herding dog twice to sniff out a whole row or column. The first to fence in the other side's herds wins. The creator says the code was written with Claude; sprite sheets for the cattle, feed buckets, tractor and dog were generated with Gemini, then color-reduced by script and touched up by hand; the field, menus and text were made by hand, and the audio is synthesized by code.

Who it's for: Players who like grid deduction and want a quick head-to-head game with simple rules.

Before you start: The creator says it is free, with no account and nothing to install, and it works on computers and phones with mouse or touch. The page says it is in English only. The creator says the whole game is a single web file with no server, so it can be played offline once loaded and picked up again after a break. No age rating or license for the whole game is given.
