What it is
ABYSS HARVEST is a browser game by itch.io user nitch_game (Nitch Game), still in development and released as a demo. You take contracts across four ocean zones, dive to harvest and survey wrecks, and keep an eye on oxygen and cargo weight while managing gear. You team up with a partner against guardian creatures, then head back to the surface. If your oxygen runs out you get rescued but lose the haul from that dive, so every trip is a call on when to turn back. The author says AI helped generate and iterate on the code, write documentation and produce Blender scripts, and the 3D meshes come from the project's own Blender scripts. The model used is not named.
Who it's for: Adventure players who like resource management and are happy to push a little further with each dive.
Before you start: Free to play in a desktop browser with WebGL2, using keyboard and mouse. The author states mobile controls are not currently supported. According to the author, the game is in English, Japanese and Chinese. The author says progress is saved in your browser and saves can be imported and exported. The page does not say whether scores go online, and it does not state an age rating or a license.
