What it is
A Rock and a Hard Place is a physics puzzle game by hf-doodle-studio, played in the browser. You tilt the whole map so a boulder rolls into the leaks, trying not to knock over any villagers on the way. The last 4 levels bring two boulders and two leaks at once. Each level gives a star rating and keeps a record of your fastest seal. The author says Claude Code took part in the design discussion, wrote the code, and helped debug and test. The art is drawn in Canvas code with no AI image generator, and the sound is synthesized with WebAudio, with no AI music or voice.
Who it's for: Anyone who enjoys physics puzzles and wants a few relaxed levels on a phone or computer.
Before you start: It's free in the browser, all 10 villages are unlocked from the start with nothing to buy, and the page lists no account requirement. The author says it works with a mouse or a finger, including touch on phones. You can switch between English and Korean. Villagers can be knocked over by the boulder; the figures are simple drawings, and the score rewards hitting fewer of them. The page gives no age rating and doesn't say whether stars and records are stored online.
Based on the game's itch.io page. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
