VectorCraft

VectorCraft is a vector drawing editor published by the GitHub organization storytold and credited to the ArtCraft Team and VectorCraft contributors. You edit paths, layers, text, gradients and shapes by hand, and import or export SVG, PDF and other formats. It offers MCP and JSON control channels, "so Claude and other agents can draw, edit and export," in the README's words. The model comes from the outside agent you connect, and VectorCraft carries out the drawing, editing and export commands. The README lists generative AI features as still unfinished. The desktop app runs on macOS, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD, with interface languages including Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English.

Before you start: Download a release package or build from source following the README. The project is still in alpha. To let AI operate it, you install the command-line tool separately and register the MCP server with your agent, which changes that agent's configuration. The local control port is off by default and has to be opened explicitly with --control. It listens only on your own machine but has no authentication, so other programs on the same computer can connect to it. The agent can open, save and export files. Without folder limits it has the same file access as your own account; you can restrict it with --automation-read-root and --automation-write-root. The agent passes artwork, files and screenshots to whatever model service it uses, and the authors give no single privacy or data-retention policy. The app is free and licensed under MIT or Apache-2.0, your choice. The ArtCraft brand, fonts and third-party assets have their own licenses.
