What it is
Updraft is an AI job-search assistant built by Curtis Foster and run by Zentoko AI, LLC. You set up a profile, and it shortlists jobs, drafts resumes and outreach from your profile, then checks the drafts for unsupported claims. It also offers spoken or typed mock interviews and practice in simulated workplace scenarios. What sets it apart is how clearly it draws the line: the site says it never auto-applies for you, shortlisting never sends an application, and outreach drafts are for you to review and send.
Who it's for:Job seekers in the US who want AI help preparing materials but want to control every application themselves.
Before you start: It runs in the browser, the pages are in English, and the privacy policy says the service is meant for people in the US aged 18 and over; voice mock interviews need your microphone. Your uploaded resume is parsed into a profile and the original file is discarded, and data is stored on AWS in Northern Virginia. Anthropic receives your full resume for writing and matching, and OpenAI is used for speech-to-text and other processing; most features strip your name, email and phone first, but imported resume text and your messages are sent as they are. The company promises not to train on your data, and its commercial agreements with Anthropic and OpenAI don't allow training either; those providers may keep data for 30 days under their own rules, and up to 2 years if flagged for safety. You can export your data, delete individual practice sessions or delete your account, and deleting your account cancels Pro right away with no refund for the rest of the period. The site lists a free plan at USD 0 with daily limits, and Pro at USD 29.95 a month or USD 299 a year, renewing automatically with no free Pro trial; check the site for current prices.
