What it is
Toonflow is an open-source platform for short dramas and comic-style videos, published by the HBAI-Ltd organization on GitHub. You start from a script, organize characters and assets, lay out a storyboard and then generate video in a "3D director studio", all on one infinite canvas. Images and video come from third-party AI models you connect, and you can also plug in ComfyUI or a local language model; the team also offers a relay service called TF-Router. The README says the interface is available in 21 languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Who it's for:creators who want to make short dramas, comic videos or storyboard tests with AI and are willing to set up their own model services.
Before you start: desktop builds are available for Windows and macOS. You can also deploy with Docker Compose or run it on a Linux server with Bun 1.3.14; the README's Bun install example downloads and runs a script from the web (curl | bash). You must bring your own API keys for third-party models, generation costs and usage rules follow each provider, and your assets and requests are sent to the providers you configure. MIT license, switched from Apache-2.0 starting with version 1.0.8.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
