What it is
Prompt Library is a site devoted to Midjourney prompts. Its operator says they run it solo, and the home page claims over 25,000 free prompts. Each entry has its own page, with the image made from the prompt at the top and the Full Prompt below it. The Full Prompt lists every parameter, style references (--sref) and version numbers included, and you can read and copy it without signing in. Entries are tagged by style, subject and Midjourney version, and you can search them or scroll through Recently Added on the home page. What sets it apart is that you see the finished image first, then get the prompt word for word with all its parameters. The site says the prompts also work with ChatGPT, Gemini, DALL·E, Ideogram and Flux, but many entries carry Midjourney-only parameters, and we haven't tried them in other tools.
Who it's for:people who make images in Midjourney and want ready-made prompts, or want to see how others write their parameters.
Before you start: reading prompts needs no account and costs nothing; the site accepts optional tips. To actually generate images you need your own Midjourney account; check Midjourney's site for pricing. The pages carry third-party ads, which sometimes float over the content. The entries we sampled don't name their original authors. We found no terms of service or reuse licence on the site, so it doesn't say whether the prompts and images can be republished or used commercially; we only link to them. Some entries use the names of brands, real people or living artists, and listing the site isn't an endorsement of every prompt.
