What it is
PerturbGate, by Margarita Soloshenko (MargoSolo), is a biology research workflow. Working from open CD4 T-cell Perturb-seq data, it sets evidence thresholds for each mechanism hypothesis, such as those involving RICTOR, and only hypotheses that pass move forward.
It produces local HTML reports and also runs from the command line. The author states it is a research tool, not a diagnostic or treatment device. The project was part of the Built with Claude life sciences research track.
Who it's for:researchers working on immunology or single-cell data who want a stricter way to screen hypotheses. Readers who don't write code won't need it.
Before you start: it needs Python 3.10 to 3.12 and is tested on Linux and macOS. Pricing isn't stated. The MIT license covers only the author's own code; the open data and third-party material keep their own licenses.
