What it is
Orca is an open-source desktop app from the stablyai team for managing coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode and Pi in one place. You can fan one prompt out to five agents, each working in its own isolated git worktree, then compare the results and merge the best. It also has split terminals, a VS Code-style editor, comments you can drop on any line of an AI diff and send back to the agent, and built-in browsing of GitHub and Linear tasks. Design Mode lets you click any element in a real Chromium window and send its HTML, CSS and a cropped screenshot straight into the agent's prompt. Companion apps for iOS and Android notify you when an agent finishes and let you send follow-ups from your phone, and agents can work on a remote server over SSH. What sets it apart is that it turns "give the same task to several agents and compare" into an everyday workflow.
Who it's for:developers who use several coding agents and want to compare their results. Readers who don't write code won't have a use for it.
Before you start: the desktop app runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, and the phone companion is on the App Store and as an Android download. You install and pay for the agents yourself. This tool has wide reach: SSH worktrees can edit files and run commands on a server, the phone app can steer agents on your computer remotely, and Design Mode sends page content and screenshots to the agent. Connect it only to your own machines and projects. The telemetry policy is in the official docs, and we haven't reviewed it line by line. MIT licence.
