What it is
OpenCreator is open-sourced by the krillinai team. It used to be called KrillinAI and was renamed; it's the same repo. The README calls it "the open-source AI workspace & Skills for creators." It runs locally as a web app or desktop app, with installers for macOS (Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows x64, and handles creative jobs such as video translation, dubbing and images. Under the hood it runs on the Codex CLI agent loop, and an existing ChatGPT login or API setup can serve as the model. The author says the interface supports 43 languages, including Chinese and English. The author also notes that the Digital Avatar feature is still in development. What sets it apart is that video translation, dubbing and images all happen in one local workspace.
Who it's for:Video creators who want to translate their content into other languages and dub it.
Before you start: Download the installer for your system. Your files stay on your computer, but inference may not: when it calls a model, your material is uploaded to that model service. Some video sources sign in with your platform cookies. AI Inspiration World does not recommend that: it uses the login credentials in your browser to reach your platform accounts. AI Inspiration World also does not recommend background batch runs and scheduled jobs; start each task by hand. It also updates yt-dlp, a download tool. Only work with material you have the rights to use. The code is free under the Apache-2.0 license; your model may cost extra.
