What it is
open-slide is an open-source slide framework published by the open-slide organization on GitHub. You describe the deck you want in plain language, and a coding agent such as Claude Code or Cursor writes each slide as React code on a fixed 1920×1080 canvas. A built-in /create-slide skill asks a few scoping questions and plans the structure before writing pages. In the browser preview you can click any element to leave a comment, then run /apply-comments to have the agent make the changes. When the deck is ready you can present it directly or export static HTML, PDF or PowerPoint (PPTX); the README says PPTX export runs entirely in the browser.
Who it's for:people who already use a coding agent and are comfortable building presentations as code. Readers who don't write code will find the setup steep.
Before you start: you need Node.js and pnpm. Create a project with `npx @open-slide/cli init`, then work with your own coding agent; model costs are separate. The project is free and open source under the MIT license. The output is a static site you can publish to Vercel, Netlify or similar hosts, and the built-in brand icon search goes online.
