What it is
OfferPilot is an open-source job search workspace published by the GitHub organization offercontext, with a web interface in Chinese. You enter roles by hand. According to the README, the built-in assistant Pilot uses your saved job search material to look things up, draft content and call tools, and it updates key records only after you confirm. The README says it never applies for you or contacts recruiters on your behalf, and the email assistant does not send mail either. Mock interview recordings stay in the browser only temporarily. Speech can be transcribed by a local offline Whisper model, which downloads only when you trigger it. Check what the AI writes: the README makes no promise that it won't invent things, and a confirmation card appears before key records change.
Who it's for:Job seekers comfortable with a Chinese interface who want roles and application material in one place on their own computer. Installing it takes Docker or the command line.
Before you start: Build and run it with Docker, or install Python 3.10 or later plus Node and npm, then build with uv sync and npm ci. There is also an unsigned pre-release installer for Windows x64, which AI Inspiration World did not download or check. Data is stored locally in ~/.offerpilot, in AppData on Windows, or in a Docker volume, and AI features send the relevant data to the model provider you choose. The online Hub is a separate service and is not covered by the local version's privacy notes. AI Inspiration World does not recommend the optional QQ Mail authorization-code access and automatic mail sync: once switched on, it stores your QQ Mail authorization code in the system keychain or credential manager and reads your mail every 5 minutes to produce suggestions for you to review. The feature is off by default and mail syncs manually unless you change that; an authorization code of this kind may carry permissions for several mail protocols. The software is free, and model providers may charge. AGPL-3.0 license; the Live2D sample character Haru in the repository has its own asset restrictions.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
