What it is
MediaClinic, by GitHub user junqueirach, is a Windows tool for tidying a local movie library. It checks NFO and XML files, artwork and metadata for gaps or errors, then fixes or renames them.
It backs up before every change and can undo. The author says it was built with Claude under a written AI-engineering contract.
Who it's for:people managing a large local movie collection with software like Kodi or Jellyfin who want it clean.
Before you start: it needs Windows, Python 3.10 or later, and ffprobe. By default it only touches local files. You can opt in to online lookups with IMDb, TMDb and similar services, or download AI upscaling models; each service has its own terms. Whether the tool costs anything isn't stated. The code is MIT licensed; rights to the films and artwork don't come with the code license. The interface is in English.
