What it is
Lugh Xtudio is a desktop video editor by Arthur Breno Costa Polimeni that its website calls "the video studio where AI agents edit with you." What sets it apart is that you bring the agents you already use, such as Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or others connected through MCP, and work with them directly on the timeline; the app has no chat assistant of its own. It comes with 17 built-in editing workflow skills. Importing, transcription, rendering and exporting all happen on your own computer.
Who it's for:Creators who already use AI coding agents and want help editing video.
Before you start: It runs on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows and Linux. The editor doesn't need a separate chat account, but the AI side runs on your own agent accounts. Generation services such as ElevenLabs, fal, Higgsfield, Runway and Luma need your own API keys, and the developer says it asks before spending money. Project content your agent reads goes to that agent's model provider, and generation services receive what they need, so the AI features aren't fully offline. Anonymous usage statistics can be turned off; the app checks online for version settings, and paid licenses need online activation. Check the website for current prices: the full editor is free to use, but clips edited by an agent export with a watermark, and the site lists a one-time Founder price of USD 59 (USD 99 later) for no watermark, 4K and updates. Agents and generation services cost extra. It's closed-source paid software.
