What it is
HOLO is a local web app by Zubair Trabzada (AI Workshop Studio LLC). It uses your webcam and MediaPipe to read hand gestures, so you can page through notes and rotate or zoom 3D models without touching anything.
The author says camera frames are processed in the page and never leave it, and no account or API key is needed. While presenting, a gesture turns the page or spins the model, so you never touch the mouse. The project notes say it was built with Claude Code.
Who it's for:people curious about gesture control, or who need to show 3D models while talking.
Before you start: you run a local page or Python server on your computer, open it in a browser and allow camera access. The author says the code is free and needs no cloud service. The code is MIT licensed, MediaPipe is Apache-2.0, and some bundled 3D models are public-domain assets from the Smithsonian; each part has its own license. The interface is in English.
