What it is
dsh-context is a plugin by GitHub user bowenliang123 that runs inside DeepSeek Harness. It adds a Context Insights panel to AI coding agent sessions: the system prompt, your messages, the model's reasoning, tool arguments and outputs, attachments and file changes all show up in the Context and Fleet tabs, the right sidebar or the /context command. What sets it apart is that it lays out the full context that usually stays hidden, with estimated token use and cost, so you can see what the agent actually read on each turn. It can also add a shared system prompt prefix and suffix for the main agent and its sub-agents. You install it by searching under Add plugin in the Harness web or desktop app, or register it from the command line.
Who it's for:Developers running AI coding agents in DeepSeek Harness who want to see the context and cost of each turn. If you don't write code, you won't need it.
Before you start: You need DeepSeek Harness on the web or desktop. The README lists compatible versions from 0.1.7-rc.2 and 0.2.0-rc.2, and Node.js 22.19.0 or later, or 24 or later. The interface is in English and Simplified Chinese. The panel shows full session content, including system prompts, tool output and attachments, so hide anything sensitive before you share a screenshot. The global prompt prefix and suffix affect both the main agent and its sub-agents, so think before you change them. Token and cost figures are estimates. The plugin has no privacy policy of its own. The plugin is free under the Apache-2.0 licence; Harness and model costs are separate, so check the official docs.
