What it is
Cursor is an AI coding tool from Anysphere, built around a code editor. As you type, it offers context-aware completions (Tab), and it understands the whole codebase for semantic search. Beyond that, you can hand a feature to an agent that plans, writes, tests and demos the result, and several agents can work on different tasks at once. Besides the desktop editor, there is a command-line version, cloud agents that run for long stretches, and Slack and GitHub integrations, so agents can pick up tasks in team chat and review pull requests on GitHub.
Who it's for:professional developers and anyone who writes code regularly. If you don't code and just want a website, conversational builders like Lovable or bolt.new are a better starting point.
