What it is
ComfyUI Apple Silicon Optimized is a ComfyUI extension (custom nodes) by luix93 for people making AI images and video on Apple Silicon Macs. ComfyUI itself is already listed on AI Inspiration World, and this is an acceleration and compatibility pack that sits on top of it. The author tests mainly on M5 chips and newer systems, with M1 to M4 marked experimental; the speed-up figures in the README are the author's own, and we haven't tested them. It also includes Prompt Studio, which can connect to local oMLX, LM Studio or Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible service, to help write prompts.
Who it's for:Creators using ComfyUI on Apple Silicon Macs who want faster generation. If you haven't used ComfyUI, start with ComfyUI itself.
Before you start: On first start it automatically downloads, installs or replaces the Python dependencies your current ComfyUI uses (including Torch) and changes runtime memory settings, and removing the node doesn't restore those packages. AI Inspiration World doesn't recommend installing it into the ComfyUI you use every day; try it in a separate ComfyUI environment first. The author provides a check-only option (--check) and an option to keep your existing Torch (--keep-torch), though keeping Torch doesn't mean other dependencies stay the same. When Prompt Studio connects to a remote service, your text, reference images, video frames and audio are sent to that service, which may charge for it. The code as a whole is GPL-3.0, and models have their own licenses.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
