What it is
CliDeck MCP, from CliDeck LLC, is a knowledge service that lets AI agents query network-device knowledge by model and version through MCP (Model Context Protocol), with a source for every answer.
When an answer is incomplete, it has Codex research the gap in an isolated environment, verifies the result and publishes a new, immutable knowledge version. The site states it doesn't connect to devices or run device commands. The README says Codex was the primary engineering environment.
Who it's for:engineers managing network equipment who want sourced answers from their AI agents. Readers who don't write code won't need it.
Before you start: you can connect to the public MCP endpoint (Streamable HTTP) or use the web evidence workbench. The site says the public endpoint and workbench are free with no CliDeck account, though its terms say some features may be paid later. In the workbench, full files stay in your browser and only the redacted evidence you select is uploaded. Self-hosting needs Node 24, pnpm, PostgreSQL 16 and more, and research uses the Codex you're signed in to locally, within your subscription limits. The code is under Apache-2.0, which doesn't cover the hosted knowledge, third-party manuals or user data. The interface is in English.
Based on the official site and the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
