What it is
AXION Lite is a project by GitHub user PhysEng2030, described by its author as an AI assistant simplified further for ChromeOS and other low-power systems. To run on modest hardware like Chromebooks, it leaves out heavy parts such as bundled large models, security scanners and social integrations. It can use local Ollama models, picking an available one automatically, or connect to remote language and vision APIs. Its features lean toward engineering and hardware: web search, KiCad schematic and PCB guidance, Fusion 360 workflows, Arduino firmware editing and compiling, turning breadboard photos into auditable PCB drafts, opening public Tinkercad circuits, and MediaPipe gesture control for embedded viewers.
Who it's for:students and hobbyists working on electronics and Arduino projects from a Chromebook or an older computer.
Before you start: it needs Node.js and runs locally in your browser. The project has only a dozen or so commits so far, and the project page does not state a license.
