What it is
AutoApply, by GitHub user tdhopeshwar, is a job-search tool built on Claude Code and Playwright MCP. It searches for roles, scores how well each fits you, writes a tailored cover letter, fills in the application in a browser, and tracks progress in a local CSV.
The author states that every application pauses before final submission so you decide whether to send it. You handle captchas and email verification yourself.
Who it's for:job seekers sending many applications who want to skip repetitive form-filling but still review each one.
Before you start: it needs Mac or Linux, Node.js 18 or later, a signed-in Claude Code and Playwright MCP. Your resume, profile and preferences live in local files and are passed to Claude when processed, and you sign in to job sites yourself. The README says it is MIT licensed and free to use, but the repository has no separate license file. Claude Code and job-site costs are separate. The interface is in English.
