AI SDK Computer Use Demo from Vercel Labs shows an AI operating a remote desktop. After a user sends a task in chat, Claude Sonnet 4.5 can inspect screenshots, click, type, scroll and run shell commands. The desktop runs in Vercel Sandbox, with the chat and desktop stream displayed together in the browser. It provides a concrete view of how model tool calls become desktop actions.
Who it's for:Developers studying desktop automation and AI tool use. It is not useful for readers who do not work with code.
Before you start: Self-hosting needs Node.js 18+, a Vercel account, sandbox configuration and an Anthropic API key; service charges may apply. This project falls into a category that may control computers or phones or involve extensive account permissions. AI Inspiration World has not tested it and does not recommend it. This particular demo operates a sandbox desktop; we do not recommend signing into important accounts or adding sensitive files there. No clear licence was found, so a public repository should not be treated as unrestricted commercial permission. Documentation is in English.
