What it is
AI Lecture Studio by Sahil Chalotra uses Google Gemini 2.5 Flash to organise lecture recordings. It produces a transcript, summary and topic, then turns the material into revision cards and multiple-choice quizzes. Notes can be exported as a PDF, offering several ways to revisit the same class. The project provides a browser interface and self-hosting instructions.
Who it's for:Students and teachers with permission to use a recording who want to turn it into revision material.
Before you start: Self-hosting needs Python 3.10+ and a Gemini API key, with possible model charges. Recordings and course material are processed by the model service; obtain necessary consent and check the demo’s retention and deletion arrangements. The README lists authentication, multilingual support and a mobile app as future work. We do not recommend uploading sensitive classroom recordings. Code uses MIT; documentation is in English.
