AI Comic Builder

AI Comic Builder, by GitHub user LingyiChen-AI, is an open-source tool. You upload or import a script; it breaks down the story, designs characters, draws storyboards and then calls image and video models to generate the scenes.

It manages work by episode and keeps a character looking the same across episodes, which is the hardest part of making a series. The author writes that the whole site was developed with AI.

Who it's for:creators who want to make serialized AI comics or storyboard short dramas and don't mind setting things up.

Before you start: you deploy it with Docker or from source, then configure model providers such as OpenAI, Gemini or Seedance. Scripts you upload (TXT, DOCX, PDF), characters and reference images are sent to the providers you configure. Generation uses their API credits, billed separately; free allowances aren't stated. There is an official demo site. The code is under Apache-2.0; rights to generated content follow each model provider's terms. The interface supports Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.
