What it is
Agent Flow is a debugging tool Simon Patole (GitHub patoles) built while making Antics, an AI game-creation platform. It reads Claude Code and Codex session logs and draws each step the agent takes as a live node graph, alongside tool calls, a session timeline and a cost panel. It only watches; it doesn't schedule or direct your agents. Run it as a standalone local web page or install it as an extension in VS Code and similar editors.
Who it's for:Developers who use Claude Code or Codex every day and want to see what the AI is actually doing and what it costs. Readers who don't write code won't get much from it.
Before you start: Run npx agent-flow-app, run it from source with Node 20 or later, or install the extension in a compatible editor (VS Code 1.85 or later). Docs and interface are in English. By default it reads the session logs in ~/.claude/projects/ and ~/.codex/sessions/, which include prompts, tool inputs and outputs, file paths and token counts. The first time you open the extension panel, it automatically adds a Claude Code hook to ~/.claude/settings.json. The public npx release sends anonymous usage stats to the author's server by default; the author says these exclude prompts, paths and tool results, and you can turn them off with AGENT_FLOW_TELEMETRY=false or DO_NOT_TRACK. The local web server only listens on your own machine (127.0.0.1). If you use these features, weigh the safety risks yourself. AI Inspiration World is not responsible for any consequences. The tool is open source; model subscriptions cost extra. The code is Apache-2.0, and the name and logo have separate trademark terms.
